Rio Wolta went on a trip to Russia this year and composed the music for the renowned contemporary dance ensemble ‘Provincial Dances’. Together with eight dancers and under the direction of star choreographer Tatiana Baganova, the piece ‘Bluebeard’ was created, which premiered in June at the American Dance Festival in front of an international audience. With ‘Blaubart’ a shortened version of it appears. It is the start of an adventurous journey: While the short album is being released, the Zurich native is already back in Moscow to work on the next piece.
