Data Privacy Notice

Despite the fact that we check their content carefully, we assume no liability for the content of external sites linked to this website. Responsibility for the content of these sites lies solely with the operators of these sites.

General privacy policy

Sailing For Peace respects the privacy of the people who visit its website. As a rule, no personal data relating to users of this website is collected automatically, unless this data is provided voluntarily. In such cases, the data is made known exclusively to Sailing For Peace, the artist, and management.

Specific non-personal data (e.g. type of Internet browser used, type of operating system used by the user, domain name of the user's Internet provider) is stored in a log file in the course of the Sailing For Peace web server's standard routines. This data is mainly used for internal purposes and is only used in aggregated, non-personal form. Sailing For Peace may forward this aggregated, non-personal data to third parties for marketing, advertising, and other purposes.

Sailing For Peace may only collect personal data when website users provide this information voluntarily (e.g. when they fill out registration forms, subscribe to newsletters/bulletins, or take part in promotions). Sailing For Peace stores such personal data and only forwards it to third parties with the express consent of the website user or if Sailing For Peace is required by law or by court order to provide this data in specific circumstances. Sailing For Peace occasionally uses e-mail addresses and other personal data to make contact with website users. For example, we send e-mails to website users who provide us with their e-mail addresses for specific purposes, e.g. in order to obtain newsletters/bulletins or to be informed about winning a competition. Every e-mail contains information for website users on how to unsubscribe from newsletters or bulletins. For more information on the provisions relating to data collection resulting from participation in a competition, please refer to our conditions of participation.

Sailing For Peace also uses so-called 'cookies', i.e. small text files that are stored as logs on the hard drive of the website user's computer. Sailing For Peace never uses these cookies to access other files on the computer of the website user. Cookies do not contain any personal data. The purpose of cookies is to register website users and note their surfing preferences so that they are recognised the next time they visit. Visitors can access the information they want faster on their next visit because Sailing For Peace is in a position to make the information available in a more personalised way. The setting of cookies is enabled by default; most browsers are set accordingly. Website users who do not want cookies to be set can adjust their browser settings so that either no cookies are stored or a corresponding warning that cookies are being stored appears on the screen. It is, however, possible that certain parts of the website will not work perfectly if the cookie function is disabled.
